What we know about you, and why.

This page explains which personal data synch.no processes, why, and what you can require of us. It describes the website. If you have an agreement with us to run software for you, that processing is governed by the agreement.

The short version

  • We use no cookies. None. The site sets no cookies at all.
  • There is no analytics, no tracking and no ad network. Nothing on the page loads from a third party.
  • We only get what you send us: the form you fill in, or the question you type to the assistant.
  • You can ask at any time to see what we hold, and ask us to delete it.

Who is responsible

Synch AS, company registration number 836 927 702, Oscars gate 30, 0352 Oslo, is the data controller for the personal data described here. That means we decide why and how it is processed, and we are who you contact if you want to know something or require something.

You reach us at support@ayr.no or +47 459 69 999.

No cookies, no tracking

The site sets no cookies. That is why you meet no cookie banner here: there is nothing to consent to.

Nor do we run any analytics, tracking pixels or embedded third-party services. The fonts sit on our own server rather than at Google, and the site's security policy does not permit your browser to fetch anything from other sites while you read. No third party learns that you were here.

The site does keep a few settings locally in your browser so your choices survive a reload. These are not cookies, they are never sent to us or to anyone else, and you can delete them at any time through your browser's own settings.

When you use the contact form

The form sends your name, email address, company name and message to a mailbox we read. We also record which language you were reading in and when the message arrived. You get a receipt by email, and it does not quote your message back to you.

The email goes through Google Workspace and lands in a mailbox on ayr.no. Google is our data processor for this. The basis for the processing is that you got in touch yourself to ask about a possible delivery, and that we have a legitimate interest in answering you.

If sending should fail, the content of your enquiry is written to our server log so your message is not lost in silence. That log sits with Vercel and is deleted automatically after their retention period.

We keep enquiries for as long as it takes to deal with the enquiry, and delete them afterwards. If nothing comes of it, we delete once the matter is closed. You can ask us to delete sooner at any time. If it turns into a customer relationship, the data moves into that relationship and is governed by the agreement.

AI assistant

The assistant is the button in the corner. The question you type, the earlier messages in the conversation and the language you are using are sent to our own server, which passes them to Anthropic. That is the language model that writes the answer.

We store none of the conversation. It lives in your browser's sessionStorage while the tab is open and disappears when you close it. We have no database of what people have asked.

Your IP address is used to limit how many questions can be asked per minute, so the endpoint cannot be abused. It sits only in the server's memory for the length of that window and is not stored.

Anthropic processes the question in the United States. The transfer is covered by the data processing addendum that comes automatically with Anthropic's commercial terms, and which relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (SCCs).

Do not type sensitive information to the assistant. It is built to find its way around the website, not to receive personal data, and you have no reason to tell it anything about yourself in order to use it.

Hosting and logs

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like every web server, they record technical details about requests, including IP address, timestamp and which browser you use. This is necessary to serve the pages and to spot faults and abuse, and we use it for nothing else.

What is stored in your browser

All of this lives in your own browser and is never sent to us. You can remove it by clearing site data for synch.no.
